Zaremby / Ostroleka
The
year eighteen hundred and twenty two, December the twenty ninth at three
o'clock in the afternoon. Before Us, the undersigned Registrar of the
municipality of Zaremby in the district of Ostroleka, voivodship Plock,
appeared the Jew Leybke [Aryeh son of Yehudah Ha-Levy] Blumenfelt
(grandson of Boruch Dov Ha-Levy), bachelor, nineteen years old according
to the akt znania* issued by the Mayor of the town of Ostroleka on the
twenty seventh of December of the current year and written by the document
clerk of the assistant Public Attorney of the Kingdom (in
the margin – on the twenty ninth of December of the current year)
and certified by the Court of Piece of the Ostroleka District on the same
day, month and year, son of the married couple Judka [Yehudah son of
Boruch Dov Ha-Levy] Blumenfelt and Gitla [Tova], living in Ostroleka with
his parents who earn their living from tailoring and having his parents'
permission to this marriage. Also appeared the Jewess Cipa [Tzippora
daughter of Yishayahu] Siaykowicz (Szajowicz
/ Szajkowicz), unmarried, nineteen years old according to the akt
znania* issued by the Mayor of the municipality of Niemiol(?) on the
twentieth of December of the current year and written by the document
clerk of the assistant Public Attorney of the Kingdom on the twenty third
of December of this year and certified by the Court of Piece of the
Ostroleka District on the twenty fourth of the current month and year,
daughter of the Jews Siaia (Szaja)
[Yishayahu son of Gershon] Gerszonowicz, surname Zarember, and Tauba,
married couple, living in the village of Zaremby Koscielne with her
parents who earn their living from slaughtering and having her parents'
permission to this marriage. Both parties appeared to enter into
matrimony. The banns of this marriage were announced in front of the main
gate to our community House, the first on the fifteenth, the second on the
twenty second of December of the current year. As no obstruction against
this marriage occurred and the parents of both parties gave their
permission to this marriage, and intending to meet their wish after having
read all the produced documents as well as article six of the Civil Code
concerning matrimony, we asked the future husband and the future wife if
it is their wish to marry and as both of them separately replied that this
is their wish, we announce in the name of the law that the Jew Leyba
Blumenfelt, bachelor, and Sipa Siaykowna, unmarried, entered into
matrimony. Of this all we wrote a document in the presence of the Jews
Abraam Herszkowicz, thirty two years old, peddler, and Leyzor Szaykowicz,
fifty eight years old, trader, both of whom residing in Zaremby Koscielne,
and of Ela Szlamowicz, thirty eight years old, day laborer, and Peysak
Dawidowicz, fifty years old, synagogue sexton, both of whom residing in
Zaremby Koscielne, then this document was read to those who appeared and
signed by us and the the groom, his father and his witnesses. The others
mentioned in
this document cannot write.
