It happened in the village of Zaremby on the thirteenth/twenty fifth of October, eighteen hundred thirty nine at eight o’clock in the morning.  The Jew Abraam [Avraham] Leybowicz Tachna, scribe of G-d’s Commandments [Torah Scribe], age forty nine, residing in the village of Zaremby, appeared in the presence of the witnesses Abraam Czyzyk, shoemaker, age twenty six, and Motel Kielmanowicz Sebor, poulterer, age twenty five, both of whom are residing in the village of Zaremby, and showed us a child of the female gender born in the village of Zareby Koscielne on the sixteenth of the current month, at six o’clock in the evening, to his wife Dwere [Devorah] Herszkowna, age thirty, to whom was given the name Chaia Sora [Chaya Sara].  This document was read to those who appeared and signed by the father, whereas both the witnesses cannot write.
