It happened in the town of Mlawa on the twenty third of January/fourth of February eighteen hundred and forty nine at three o’clock in the morning appeared the Jew Mulak [Ze’ev Nutuh son of Yakov Ha-Levy] Tachna, a baker residing in Mlawa forty eight years old in the prescence of witnesses Lewin Szmulowicz Landau, teacher residing in Mlawa sixty years old, and Hersz Matys Szpyra, store keeper sixty six years old, and presented to us a child of masculine gender born here in Mlawa on sixteenth/twenty eighth of January of the current year at four o’clock in the morning from his wife [Mindel descendant of Mordechai] from Mordkows who is thirty five years old.  At the circumcision ceremony the child was given the name Jonie Izrael [Yonatan Yisroel son of Ze’ev Nutuh Ha-Levy].  The document was read to the appearing witnesses and signed by them.  The father stated that he is illiterate.
