On his tombstone his surname is Lipsker (i.e. "Leipziger" the nicknam e of his grandfather Wolf Michel Cohn). (He was 41 years old in 186 3 when his son Nusyn Wolf was born). He was a rabbinic judge (dayan ) in Warsaw of the rabbinic court headed by the chief Rabbi Ber Meisel s. He was married to Ryfka Winer, born circa 1826, A daughter of Szm ul Winer and Jachet. Abram and Ryfka were married in Stryków in 1842.

He was also a Moreh Zedek in Warsaw.
