General Notes: Husband - Raymond Meer
Merchant (or engineer according to the testimony of his daughter to Ya d Vashem). He was a soldier in World War I and was decorated with th e "croix de guerre." He was married on June 29, 1930 to Doris Rosin a Hassan (b. Oct. 28, 1900, Paris; died during deportation to Auschwit z-Birkenau). Doris was a daughter of Albert Hassan, a merchant at Tri polil, and his wife Giulia Hassan.
Before the war Raymond, his wife Doris and their daughter Martine wer e living in Paris. During the war they lived in NIce and Gilette, Alp es Maritimes in France. After their arrest they were held in the cam p at Drancy. They were deported to Auschwitz on May 30, 1944, on tran sport number 75, which arrived in Auschwitz three days later on June 2 . Doris died during the journey and Raymond was murdered at Birkena u around the end of December 1944.
