An article appeared about her in ESRA magazine (Magazine of the Engli sh Speaking Residents Association in Israel). She is a lover of horse s and art and lives in Israel. Her parents were both Zionists who emi grated to Eretz Yisrael in 1932, but in 1936 they returned to England . Her father, Lionel Shalit, brought the first Maccabiah to Israel i n 1932. She married Zeev Hirsch (a German born Israeli) in 1956, who m she met in England. She has acted as a judge for horseback riding c ompetitions.
