According to his tombstone he was a descendant of Rabbi Yaakov of LIss a, and he was born three years after the death of Ze'ev Wolf Cohn, s o we can assume was his grandfather. Also from his death record his f ather was named Yaakov David Hacohen. So everything fits that he wa s a son of Yaakov David Cohn, son of Ze'ev Wolf Cohn, son of Rabbi Ela zar Cohn.
