Zofia was a teacher of Polish at the Gymansium and Lyceum (High School ) for Girls in Lodz. A former student at the school during World Wa r II, Salomea Klasia [Sara Rywka] Herszenberg (married name Kape), men tions Mrs. Zofia Prechner in some of her recollections of the school , which had been combined with all the Jewish schools for girls. Salo mea quotes her mother, who also had Zofia Prechner as her Polsih teach er. She describes her as "a grand dame of Lodz's high society,, the e legantly dressed wife of a well known physician: and says how indebte d to her she was. This information comes from the website, "Childre n of the Lodz Ghetto, a Memorial Research Project of the United State s Holocaust Memorial Musueum."

Zofia (Sophi) Prechner is listed on the Yad Vashem website as part o f a list of the Lodz Ghetto inhabitants, 1940-1944. This list gives h er birth and death date.
