General Notes: Wife - Ester Berman

(1903-2010) She married her relative Zussman (Ziga) Yavetz (b. Januar y1, 1903, Lodz). He was a son of Yeshaya (Isaiah) Yavetz, son of Avra ham Yavetz (who was a brother of the rabbi and historian Zeev Yavetz).

Ester and Ziga lived in Tel Aviv. There is an article about Ziga in D avid Tidhar's Encyclopedia of the Founders and Builders of Israel. H e emigrated to Eretz Yisrael in 1919. He was involved in athletics i n Israel and was a member of Maccabiah. He was also a member of Hagan ah and was active in the defense of the city in the 1930's.

Ziga was also involved in the storing of weapons and ammunition for Ha ganah in the Tel Aviv area in the 1920's.
