He was married to Cypa Rachela (Ruchla) Bacharyer (also spelled Bharj a in some records) in Konstantynow Lodzki, Piotrkow Gubernia. Cypa Ru chla was a daughter of Yaakov Zelman (Jacob Salomon) Bacharyer. The s urname Bacharyer is an acronym of the words "Son of the rabbi [Moshe ] Yehoshua (from Rawicz)" [in Hebrew: Ben Harav Rabbi Yehoshua]. Rab bi Moshe Yehoshua was the rabbi of Rawicz and was married to Eidel (si ster of the famoust rabbis Shmelke of Nicholsburg and Pinchas of Frank furt). One of the children of Rabbi Moshe Yehoshua was Rabbi Nathan N eta, rabbi of Lutomirsk, who was the ancestor of the Bacharyer family.
