Operetta conductor and composer. He was married to his niece, Jozia ( Josephine) Cohn, daughter of his brotehr Izydor Cohn. After studyin g music in Warsaw and Vienna, he lived briefly in Salzburg, and then m oved to Hungary. He had a successful career as a conductor and compos er of operettas and musical comedies in Budapest.

On the birth record of Odon Kohn, it states: "Fatehr b. Warsaw, Mothe r b. Lemberg; changed surname to Konti on February 18, 1896." So pres umably all three members of the family changed their surname to Kont i at this time. However, Jozua had been using the name "Jozef Konti " as his stage name for many years prior to this.

Jozua married Jozia (Josephine) Cohn, daughter of Isaac (Izydor) Cohn and Laura (Lea) Thom. (Jozia (Josephine) Cohn was born in Aug 1867 in Lemberg/Lwow, Ukraine.)
