Cohn, Adam
General Notes: Adam Cohn is probably identical with an artist named Adam Cohn, who us ed the pseudonym "Adolf Conadam." He was born in Warsaw and studied i n Vienna at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 1880 he won a prize while h e was a student there. He spent three years wandering in Ital, return ed to Vienna, then moved to Munich. He lived there from 1889-1896, do ing illustrations for the humor magazine "Fliegende Blatter" [Flying P ages]. Then he moved to the town of Dachau near Munich where he wa s a painter, a part of the "Dachau School" and was a pupil of Adolf Ho lzel. |
