He is mentioned by Zeev Yavetz in his book. His obiturary in Haaret z (January 9, 2005) gives an outline of his life, which describes hi m as "Mr. Tennis in Israel." He studied in England and France. In 19 36 he attended Pardes Hannah Agricultural school in Eretz Yisrael an d learnt Hebrew. He returned to Britain and served in the Household C avalry in World War II. In 1946 he married Shelagh Berger. By trad e he was businessman but was also an amateur tennis player. He bega n to promote tennis in Israel in 1975 and in 184 he emigrated to Israe l. He was elected president of the Israel Tennis Association in 1992 . In 1998 he began to promote tennis amond Israeli Arabs to encourag e contact and cooperation between Jews and Arabs in Israel. After hi s death his daughter Jane founded the Freddie Krivine Foundation in hi s honor.
Fishel married Shelagh Berger.
