Art gallery owner, art historian and critic, professor. Studied at Ge neva and later in Paris at the Sorbonne. After the Nazi occupation o f France he went to Morocco and later South America and settled in Bog ota, Colombia. He was a professor of French culture and literature an d a professor of art history. But his main work was as an art criti c and promoter of modern Colombian art. He was honored by the Colombi an government for his work.
