Her first husband was Jakub Mordka Pinczewski (June 21, 1899, Kalisz) . He was a doctor (neurologist). Jakub probably died i the Majdane k death camp in 1943. Zofia's second husband was Brzezinski (given na me unknown). Zofia was living in the Warsaw Ghetto during the war. S he wrote a book in Swedish, published in 1983, about her life during t he war. A Polsih translation of the book was published in Warsaw in 1 996 under the title Zolte tulipany [Yellow Tulips]. She also gave a n interview about her wartime experiences on February 24, 1997 for th e USC Shoah Foundation Institute for Visual History and Education.
