Buried in the Warsaw Jewish Cemetery (sector 2a, row 15, number 8). J ournalist, writer and traveler. He survived the war with his father a nd sister byusing galse papers. Fought for the Home Army during the w ar and wrote for the Polish underground press. He used his mother's s urname, Wolanowski, and continued to use it after the war. In 1950 h e married Anna Bozenna Szumowska (b. 1924).
