It happened in the town of Nur on the eighteenth/thirteenth of November eighteen hundred eighty seven at five o’clock in the afternoon the Jew Mendel Tachna, age twenty six, shoemaker, residing in the town of Nur, appeared in the presence of the witnesses Chuna Golab, age fifty one, shoemaker, and Kelman Grynwald, age thirty three, a laborer, both residing in the town of Nur, and showed us a child of the male gender, and testified that it was born in the town of Nur on the tenth/twenty second of the current month and year at nine o’clock in the evening from his wife Channah Sura maiden name Sztein, age twenty five, to whom at the circumcision was given the name Beniamin Lejbka (Benyumin Laybe).  This document was comprehensibly read to those who appeared and only signed by us and the witness Grynwald, whereas Chuna Golab and the father testified that they cannot write.
