It happened
in the town of Mlawa on the fifteenth of March, eighteen hundred and
ninety four at four o’clock in the afternoon. Srul [Yisroel son of Ahron
Ha-Cohen] Myszne, twenty four years old, trader, residing in the town of
Mlawa, appeared in the presence of the witnesses, Abram Moszek Etinger,
age seventy two, and Symche Watmacher, age thirty nine, both of whom
synagogue sextons residing in the town of Mlawa, and showed Us a child
of male gender, testifying that it was born in the town of Mlawa on the
ninth of March of the current year at four o’clock in the afternoon
morning to his wife Juta [Yehudis daughter of Yitzhak Yakov Ha-Levy] née
Tachna, twenty years old. The child was given the names
Josna-Szlama (or
Jospa-Szlama) [Yosef Shlomo son of Yisroel Ha-Cohen]. This document was
read to those who appeared and signed by the witnesses and Us.
