His name is mentioned in some 19th century German periodicals in conne ction with the company of Itzig W. M. Cohn in Breslau. In an 1862 per iodical (Sammlung der deutschen Handeeels-Register) under the heading s "Breslau" and "Procurren" [powers of attorney] it states: "Itzig W . M. Cohn zu Braslau. Coll-Proc.: Albert Cohn und Sussman Freyhan (1 8 Sept.)."

In later periodicals, beginning in 1863, Albert Cohn is listed as in c harge of the subsidiary [Zweigniederlassung] of the company Itzig W. M . Cohn in Thorn.
