  General Notes:

He was born in Kempen (Kepno) in the Prussian Empire on April 21, 1839 . When he was approximately ten years old the family moved to Warsaw , his father's home city. He attended the Warsaw School of Fine Arts . When he was a student he had a duel with a Russian officer and ha d to flee the country. He went to England where he lived in Mancheste r for abut ten years. He moved to Lemberg in 1866 to get married. Iz ydor was married to Laura (Lea) Thom, a daughter of Jozef and Taube Th om. They were married on May 3, 1866. Jozef Thom was a well-known mi ll owner in Lemberg.

After his marriage Izydor helped to finance an extension of the Karl L udwig bahn (Railway) from Lemberg to Brody (This railway up until tha t time only went from Krakow to Lemberg.). An obituary describes hi m as "one of the concessionaires of the Karl Ludwig Bahn." After tha t he owned a private bank in Lemberg. He was the author of a brochure /pamphlet entitled: "Project zur Herstellung eines Normalzustandes au f dem Effecten und Geldmarkt, wie auch zur Theilung der noch gesunde n Bank Institute" (Lemberg, 1973). Izydor died on July 18, 1884 in Le mberg, and Laura died on November 16, 1916 in Budapest. Izydor and La ura had seven children.


Isaac married Laura (Lea) Thom.
