It happened in the town of Nur on the fourth/sixteenth of February eighteen hundred fifty four at two o’clock in the afternoon the Jew Boruch Abramowicz Tachna, age twenty eight, a shoemaker, residing in the town of Nur, appeared in the presence of the witnesses Jews Janasz Ickowicz Swieca, age forty eight, a glazier, and Jankiel Leybowicz Pieprztal, sixty three, a day laborer, both residing in the town of Nur, and showed us a male child, born in the town of Nur on the nineteenth/thirty first of January of the current year at four o’clock in the morning from his wife Sora Chunowna, age twenty seven, to whom at the religious ceremony of circumcision was given the name Chaim.  This document was read aloud to those who appeared, and signed only by the holder of the Vital Record Register, whereas the others in the mentioned document testified that they cannot write.
